Monthly Model Contest
The BMRC holds a model competition at each monthly meeting. All members are encouraged to submit a model and all models are judged by the members and guests in attendance. Winners receive ribbons and points toward a "Modeler of the Year" award. Two categories are available for entry: "kit-based" entries, and "scratch-built" models. Members may enter one or both tiers each month. (For a complete listing of the rules and contest topics, click on Rules and Topics.)
This is a friendly competition, with the main purpose of encouraging model building and learning from the works of others. It is also one of the eagerly anticipated parts of each meeting, as all members enjoy viewing the models created by their peers.
