| The Boulder Model Railroad Club (BMRC) is the Premier Model Railroad Club for Boulder, Broomfield, Adams, Jefferson Counties and beyond in Colorado. The BMRC is about having fun with model railroading. The club is not focused around a club layout, which means it can - and must! - appeal to a variety of skills and interests. It has something for practically everyone, from the person who only sets up a train at Christmas, to the "tin plate" collector, to the high-tech DCC operator, to the "rivet counter," to the historian, to the diorama creator, or to the builder of a basement empire. | |

Club meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM and visitors are always welcome. The meeting venue is the Tri-City Elks Lodge #2541.The Lodge is located at 525 Main Street in Louisville, in the "old part of town". The club attempts to organize an 'on your own' dinner before hand, beginning at 6:00 PM which many members enjoy attending. Consult our Current News page for up-to-date information. |

Each meeting consists of a brief general business session featuring news items, committee information and reports from special interest groups within the club. This is followed by a short break where members and guests socialize, vote in the monthly model contest and browse through our extensive libraries of books, videos and DVDs. Afterward is a presentation by a knowledgeable clinician on a modeling or prototype topic. Meetings usually finish no later than 9:00 PM, with refreshments and socializing available afterwards in an on-the-premises lounge. |
Telltales
News Journal of the BMRC
Our newsletter (journal), the Telltales, is published monthly. It contains information about past as well as upcoming meetings and events, contest photos, prototype information, committee reports, helpful modeling hints and many other items of interest. It is distributed via email and printed copies are available to any member who does not have internet access.

Would you like to join the BMRC or get more information about the club? One of the best ways to learn more about us is to join us at one of our monthly meetings. Or you could call our club president or send him an email, the information is below. If you have already made your decision to join, you can click HERE to download application form, print it, fill it out and mail it to the address below. Be sure to include your pro-rated dues.
Dues are $24.00 per year and are reduced by $2 for each month after January that you join until minimum dues of $12 are reached.
Annual Train Show
The BMRC has hosted an annual Train Show for the general public for the last 35 years. Our next year's Show will be held December 14 & 15, 2013 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont, Colorado. The Show will feature several operating layouts, prizewinning models, a layout to be raffled off, many vendors and opportunities to meet and chat with railroad modelers of this area.
Train Show 2012 Feature Layouts
The Show will be open Saturday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. It will be open Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is $5.00 (children under 12 free).
